The Water Research and Technologies Centre (CERTE) and the Tunisian Association of Georesources are pleased to announce the inaugural edition of the Geosciences and Environment Interdisciplinary Meetings. The theme for this event is “Collaborative Research and Partnerships for sustainable development”.
The first edition of the meeting will take place alongside the fifth edition of the Atlas Georesources International Congress from November 8th to 10th, 2024, in Hammamet, Tunisia.
During the event, four sessions will feature presentations by economic stakeholders showcasing their research projects and providing an opportunity for academic pitches from students, research leaders, and entrepreneurs.

Key Objectives:
- Strengthening Bonds: Foster deeper connections between research institutions and socio-economic partners.
- Highlighting Research: Present the diverse research areas explored by Tunisian public and private institutions.
- Academic Synergy: Facilitate collaboration between academia and socio-economic stakeholders.
- Navigating Funding: Learn about academic funding programs, procedures, and proactive steps to meet deadlines.
Accepted Pitches:
- Doctoral candidates will present their research work, regardless of its completion stage.
- Research Leaders: Heads of research laboratories with expertise in the listed domains, seeking synergies with other labs or economic actors.
- Entrepreneurs: University graduated with startup ideas, exploring funding opportunities.
- Validated doctoral projects (approved by supervisors) may also be featured during allocated time slots.
- Master’s Graduated who have completed their research and seek collaboration to fund doctoral studies may also be accepted.
